Position Summary: We're looking for a skilled and passionate Registered Acupuncturist to join our team as an independent contractor to provide high-quality acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) services to our diverse and loyal clientele. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated professional to operate and grow their own practice within our busy clinic, benefiting from our established client base, administrative support, and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough client assessments, including a review of medical history, to develop personalized and effective treatment plans.
- Administer acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, and other TCM modalities such as cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion, as appropriate.
- Educate clients on the benefits of acupuncture and provide self-care recommendations for a holistic approach to wellness.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including detailed SOAP notes and treatment plans.
- Manage your own schedule and caseload in a professional and organized manner.
- Adhere to all professional and ethical standards, as well as all provincial and federal regulations governing acupuncture practice in Manitoba.
- Maintain your own professional liability insurance.
- Collaborate with our team of Registered Massage Therapists to provide integrated care and cross-referrals when appropriate.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current and valid registration with a recognized professional association for acupuncturists in Manitoba, such as the Manitoba Professional Acupuncture Association (MPAA) or the Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada (CMAAC).
- Completion of an accredited acupuncture program.
- Proven experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but new graduates with a strong skill set and business acumen are encouraged to apply.
- A deep understanding of anatomical knowledge and traditional Chinese medicine theory.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
- A compassionate, empathetic, and client-centered approach to care.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage the business aspects of your practice.
