About the Job:
Are you motivated with an interest in finance and hospitality? Join our growing finance team at Atlific Hotels! As an Accounting Coordinator, you’ll contribute to producing accurate financial reports for management and ownership, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. We’re looking for someone organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You should be comfortable managing deadlines and maintaining professionalism in everything you do. This is an on-site role based in our Montreal office, a great opportunity to build your skills and grow your network in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Management & Franchise fee reconciliations
- Provincial sales tax preparation and reporting for multiple entities
- Reconciling City and guest ledgers at month-end to help close the books
- Maintaining commitment schedules and tracking financial obligations
- Contributing to month-end procedures, including organizing back up and preparing balance sheet reconciliations
- Running and organizing monthly financial reports for internal stakeholders
- Accounts Payable tasks such as reviewing aging reports & vendor reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations for select hotel properties
- Identifying uncashed or stale-dated cheques
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA designation (completed or in progress) considered an asset
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables)
- Knowledge of the Accounting Cycle
- Excellent proficiency in both English and French
- Possess strong initiative and desire to pursue opportunities as they are identified
- Demonstrated ability to work through challenges above and beyond a standard job description
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly and objectively
- Ability to develop relationships at all levels from corporate colleagues to hotels and external partners
- Highly organized, able to manage time effectively and comfortable working with tight deadlines.
- High degree of flexibility and ability to deal with a growing and changing environment
