Are you an experienced sales professional with a background in renewable energy , data centers? Hitachi Energy is looking for a motivated Account Manager to join our Ontario industry sales team, reporting to the Director of Sales Industry Eastern Region, Canada. This role is based in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario .

How you’ll make an impact

  • Lead Generation: Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through cold calling and networking.
  • Sales Targets: Achieve annual sales targets within the C&I segment, specifically in renewable energy and data center industries.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with named accounts and develop new customer accounts.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales plans and business development initiatives.
  • Customer Focus: Understand customer needs and recommend solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry dynamics and news to support sales efforts.
  • Data Management: Ensure accuracy in the sales force database for pipeline management and forecasting.
  • Collaboration: Work with business units to provide value-based solutions to customers.
  • Issue Resolution: Address and resolve customer problems with deliveries, escalating as necessary.
  • Engagement: Participate in conferences, trade shows, and customer events.

Your background

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or information technology management.
  • Experience: Technical sales background in a related industry with 10+ years of sales experience and a proven track record in sales growth.
  • Skills: Strong account management and business development skills, excellent presentation and communication abilities, and the capacity to represent the company to senior executives and C-suite leaders.
  • Attributes: Action-oriented, capable of handling multiple tasks, and a continuous learner who can adapt to changing market conditions.
