Our client, a global leader in telecommunications and fiber infrastructure, is entering the Canadian market and is looking for a Chinese-speaking Account Director to lead business development and strategic client acquisition across the country.

About your functions and responsibilities

As Account Director – Canada, you will report to the Global Business Development Director and play a key role in driving commercial strategy, acquiring new clients, and managing complex telecom and fiber projects from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading client acquisition and achieving ambitious sales targets within the Canadian telecom and fiber sector.
  • Managing the full project lifecycle: from market research and proposal development to negotiation, delivery, and payment collection.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (technical, legal, operations) to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Representing the company in key meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Traveling within Canada and occasionally abroad, depending on project needs.

What do you need to be successful?

  • University degree in Telecommunications, Fiber Optics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the telecom or fiber industry, ideally with exposure to Canadian or international markets.
  • Fluency in Chinese and English (both written and spoken) is essential.
  • Proven track record in business development, account management, and full-cycle project execution.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, resourceful, and collaborative with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Canada.
