Remediclean is seeking skilled Hazardous Materials Abatement Technicians to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe removal and handling of asbestos, lead-based paint, and other hazardous building materials. Working closely with the Site Supervisor, you will operate hand and power tools while adhering to strict safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and demobilize containment areas for abatement.
- Safely remove asbestos, lead, mold, and other hazardous materials.
- Perform demolition and disposal of waste following safety protocols.
- Clean and organize tools, equipment, and the work site.
- Adhere to strict health and safety guidelines, ensuring safe work practices.
- Additional duties may include clean demolition as required.
Requirements:
- Physically fit to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Standard PPE: CSA-approved safety boots, safety glasses, hardhat, and cut-resistant gloves
- Asbestos Abatement Certificate and WHMIS/CSTS 2020 (mandatory)
- A valid driver's license is an asset, though not required.
Additional Information:
- Vacation: 2 weeks annually
- Probation Period: 3 months.
- Experience: 1+ years in hazardous material abatement is preferred.
